GB Consulting, Inc. was incorporated on July 1, 1992. The company's principals had owned a precast concrete company since 1985, but found themselves spending more and more time assisting business associates with computer problems. From simple tasks to networking solutions, they were assisting their clients as well as advising them on software and hardware purchases. In time, GB Consulting was born. The precast company was sold in June of 1994 and GB Consulting became a full-time business.

Running the precast company provided an excellent background for understanding the complex issues of computers in business. Greg Brockway computerized the precast company's accounting and engineering departments as well as writing a time, attendance and labor tracking system during his ownership of the company.
